3.1-magnitude quake rocks Davao Oriental

A magnitude 3.1 earthquake swayed Davao Oriental on Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
According to Phivolcs, the quake hit 68 kilometers east of Tarragona, Davao Oriental around 3:44 p.m. Wednesday.

The tremor, Philvolcs noted, was of tectonic origin and had a depth of 164 kilometers.
No aftershocks and damage were expected after the earthquake, Phivolcs said. /kga
