MPD: More than 15,000 visitors now inside Manila’s four main cemeteries
On the eve of “Undas,” the Manila Police District has already monitored more than 15,000 visitors inside Manila’s four main cemeteries as they try to beat the Nov. 1 and 2 crowds.
According to the data released by the MPD’s District Tactical Operations Center on Wednesday, of the more than 15,000 visitors, 10,000 are inside the Manila North Cemetery in Sta. Cruz, Manila, 2,400 have entered the La Loma Cemetery, 3,700 visitors have entered the Manla South Cemetery located in Makati City, and 300 have entered the Manila Chinese Cemetery.
Police have also confiscated two bladed objects, 21 flammable items, 14 packs of cigarettes, and three gardening tools after an initial inspection in front of the Manila North Cemetery.
At the La Loma Cemetery, police seized from visitors 126 flammable items, 48 gardening tools, 28 bladed objects, and 66 other items.
Police also seized 25 cans of paint from visitors to the Manila North Cemetery and the La Loma Cemetery. /muf
