Man on drug watchlist slain in Laguna shootout
SAN PEDRO CITY – A drug suspect was killed in a buy-bust operation in Biñan City in Laguna province early morning on Monday.
A police report said Bryan Alegre, who was on the police’s drug watchlist, was the target of an undercover operation at about 4:40 a.m. in Barangay (village) Canlalay.
Alegre sold a sachet of suspected “shabu” but must have realized it was a set up and fired his gun. The police returned fire and killed the suspect.
Recovered from the suspect was a 9-mm pistol. /cbb
