Typhoon “Rosita,” with international name “Yutu,” entered the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday morning and may threaten Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon between Tuesday (October 30) and Wednesday (October 31).
In a latest weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that “Rosita” is moving west at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour (kph).
“Rosita” is packing maximum sustained winds of 185 kph and gustiness of up to 225 kph.
The state weather bureau also said that typhoon signals may be raised over some areas by Sunday evening. /jpv
