BENITO SOLIVEN, Isabela – Five family members were seriously hurt on Sunday when their tricycle crashed into a parked 10-wheeler truck along the national road in Barangay (village) San Carlos, police said.

George Tolentino, who was driving the tricycle, was approaching a curved and uphill section of the road when the incident took place. The tricycle driver apparently failed to see the unmoving truck on the highway.

Tolentino was hurt along with his wife Marissa, 28; their two children Jerimar and Janu Jay; and their 20-year-old niece, Reynalyn Pascua.

They were brought to the Faustino Dy Sr. Memorial Hospital in the City of Ilagan for treatment. /kga
