Calbayog mayor seeks reelection

CALBAYOG CITY, Samar-Mayor Ronaldo Aquino was the earliest filer on the last day of the filing of certificates of candidacy.

Accompanied by his family and supporters, Aquino was at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in Calbayog at 8:10 a.m. on Wednesday to file his COC for mayor after attending Mass at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral.

Aquino said he thanked his constituents for the trust given to him and asked them to continue their support by giving him a third term.

It was the time of Aquino’s Administration that the city’s economy started to boom.

Investors showed interest and put up businesses in Calbayog while the city enjoyed high number in tourist arrival.

“We will continue of what we have started for the development of Calbayog,” said Aquino.
