Pacman’s trainer Buboy Fernandez to run for Albay town vice mayor

POLANGUI, Albay – Restituto “Buboy” Fernandez Jr., best friend and boxing trainer of Senator Manny Pacquaio, has filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for vice mayor of this town at the Commission on Elections on Wednesday morning.
Fernandez, 44, an incumbent councilor, will now run under the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban). Fernandez would be running with Team Polangui and Team Progress with mayoralty candidate Bong Sampal, husband of incumbent mayor Cherilie Sampal, whose third term is about to end. /kga
