Blogger Mocha Uson on Monday filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) to become a representative of AA-Kasosyo Partylist in the House of Representatives.

Uson filed her COC at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Intramuros, Manila and formalized her bid in the 2019 midterm elections.

In filing her COC, Uson fulfilled her threat to some senators when she resigned as Assistant Secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) that she will “bring the fight” either to the Senate or to the House of Representatives.

Before deciding to run as partylist representative, Uson said she was torn between choosing to run for senator or congresswoman in next year’s elections.

But she claimed that President Rodrigo Duterte has promised to support her bid to run for politics regardless of the position she will vie for.

Uson also said she will advocate for the welfare of the overseas Filipino workers (OFW) if she will win a seat in Congress. /kga
