Kabataan Rep. Sarah Elago sees no problem in Atty. Larry Gadon’s filing of certificate of candidacy (COC) saying everyone has the right to participate.

Elago said on Friday that it is still up to the decision of the public on who would be elected for the May 2019 midterm elections.

“Lahat naman po ay may karapatan na lumahok sa ating eleksyon at ang taumbayan po natin ang magbibigay din ng kanilang desisyon kung sino ba yong pipiliin nila na mga lider,” Elago said in an interview after her partylist filed the COC.

(Everyone has the right to participate in the elections and our countrymen will be the one to decide on who to choose as our next leaders.)

According to Elago, what her partylist wants is for the youth to be “critical participants” for the upcoming elections.

“Bitbit ang aspirasyon ng mga kabataan para sa 2019 election ay ipagpatuloy ang lahat ng mga nasimulan,” she said

(Carrying the youth’s aspirations for the 2019 elections include the continuation of what we have started.)

“Sundan pa iyung mga tagumpay at pagkamit pa ng mas marami pang victories for the next generations,” Elago added.

(Let’s continue to have victories and achieve more of it for the next generations.) /jpv
