Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa arrived on Friday at the Commission on Elections main office in Intramuros, Manila, to file his certificate of candidacy (COC).
Dela Rosa is gunning for a Senate seat under the banner of the ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).
Dela Rosa served as the chief of the Philippine National Police for nearly two years, before he was transferred to head the BuCor.
PDP-Laban President Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel filed his COC early Thursday morning, making him the first to submit the form among other senatorial candidates. /muf
