Balut vendor killed

A 47-year-old female balut vendor was stabbed dead by her sister’s live-in partner in barangay Babag 2, Lapu-Lapu City, last Wednesday night.

Police said Enriquita Rasonable was selling balut when she was stabbed several times with an ice pick by Jimmy Vilando.

Bystanders who saw the attack collared and mauled Vilando, who was later turned over to the police.

Murder charges will be filed against Vilando, said police.

Police said Vilando was irked at Rasonable after he learned that she helped her sister Amalia report to the police about an incident where the suspect allegedly mauled Amalia.
