Pimentel: Roque may run under PDP-Laban

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque may run for senator under the banner of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), Senator Koko Pimentel said before filing his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Thursday.

Pimentel, who is seeking reelection in the May 2019 midterm elections,  mentioned at least seven  possible senatorial bets of  PDP-Laban, which include him and Roque.

“Ako andito na ako, Francis Tolentino, Harry Roque posible, SAP (Special Assistant to the President) Bong Go, posible, Monsour Del Rosario, Bato (Bureau of Corrections chief Ronald dela Rosario), si Dong Magundadatu (Maguindanao Rep. Zajid “Dong” Mangudadatu),” he said.

Pimentel said PDP-Laban might  no longer field a  complete  slate in the upcoming elections.

“Parang hindi na namin bubuuin siguro,” Pimentel told reporters when asked about the slate of PDP-Laban, which he leads as president.

“Para may flexibility and pangulo na mag-accomodate ng mga kandidato na supportive rin naman sa kanya,” he added. /muf
