CITY OF CALAPAN – An alleged drug pusher was killed in an encounter with police and anti-illegal drugs agents in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan early Wednesday morning.
Supt. Imelda Tolentino, Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police information officer, said the operatives conducted buy-bust operation against suspect Jeffrey Orbiso, alias “Diva”, a newly identified drug personality, in Paduga Road in Barangay (village) Sta. Monica at around 12:30 a.m.
“During the operation, Orbiso noticed that he was transacting with a police operative. Suddenly, the suspect drew his gun and shot the operative. Then, the PNP operative returned fire and neutralized the suspect,” Tolentino said in a report.
Orbiso died while being taken to Palawan hospital. /kga
