7 drug suspects fall in Manila buy-bust

Seven drug suspects were arrested on Tuesday night in a buy-bust operation on the railroad tracks near Hermosa Street in Tondo, Manila.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspects as Maria Corazon Serrano, 40; Edlyn Pagtalonan , 42; Alvin del Rosario, 27; Adel Dionisio, 42; Ricky Cruz, 40; Ronnie Bicolano, 31; and Jhon Jhon Lopez, 44, all residents of different barangays in Caloocan City.

According to investigators, 10 sachets of shabu weighing 0.21 grams, worth P2,000 were recovered from the suspects, aside from the marked money used in the bust.

The pieces of evidence were brought to the MPD’s Crime Laboratory for examination, while the suspects are now detained at the Jose Abad Santos Police Station.

Police said charges will be filed against Del Rosario, Dionisio, Cruz, Bicolano, and Lopez before the Office of the City Prosecutor in Manila for possession of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Pagtalonan meanwhile will be charged for both selling and possession of illegal drugs.  /muf
