Through Project Basic, priests and volunteers from the archdiocese will undergo basic emergency and disaster response training with support from the provincial government of Batangas, the Batangas City government, Bureau of Fire Protection and the Lopez-led First Gen Corp.

Project Basic is part of a wider, province-wide disaster response program, called Batangas Advance Local Emergency Response Team, which First Gen also supports.
