Ex-village chief gunned down in Ecija
STO. DOMINGO, Nueva Ecija – A 72-year old former village chief was killed in a gun attack in Purok 2, Barangay San Pascual here shortly before 7 a.m. on Monday, a belated police report said.
Juanito Sana was entering his compound in a motorcycle when he was shot twice by motorcycle-riding men who were tailing him.
Probers recovered from the crime scene two spent shells fired from a handgun and a cap reportedly worn by the gunman.
Mayor Greg Andres condemned the killing and sought justice for the former official.
Police have yet to establish the motive and the identities of the suspects. ARMAND GALANG
