Chief Justice urges PNP to catch killers of Ozamiz judge as soon as possible
Supreme Court Chief Justice Teresita Leonardo-De Castro confirmed the death of Executive Judge Edmundo Pintac of the Ozamiz City Regional Trial Court and urged the Philippine National Police (PNP) to catch his killers as soon as possible.
Pintac was gunned down around 4:00 p.m. Monday while he was on his way home.
“I’m calling on the Philippine National Police to exert all means and efforts to apprehend the perpetrators at the soonest possible time,” De Castro said in a statement. “I have also instructed the Court Administrator to coordinate with all law enforcement officers to bring to justice those responsible for this crime.”
“Our prayers and sympathies go out to the family of Judge Pintac. May they find strength in this moment of grief,” she said.
