MMDA now meets international standards – Lim
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is now certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
The MMDA has passed the accreditation process and attained its ISO 9001:2015 certification as the agency successfully complied with quality management systems.
“This is a great day for MMDA having received this certificate. We acknowledge the efforts of the entire workforce in securing the certification. Congratulations to all of us,” MMDA Chair Danilo Lim said during the Monday’s flag ceremony.
Lim received the certificate awarded by AJA Registrars President Paul Bagatsing, with Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) Project Manager Cheryl Ortega.
Lim said that attaining the ISO certificate has been his dream since he became chair of the agency back in 2017.

“This building is not ours. I want us to have a place of our own and with our continued efforts we can look forward to a ground-breaking ceremony soon,” said Lim
The ISO 9001:2015 is the latest version of the ISO 9001 standard which is widely-known and internationally accepted for quality management.
It also acknowledges organizations that are able to provide “effective customer and regulatory services.”
AJA Registrars, meanwhile, is an independent third party certification body operating from a global network of offices providing third party registration and training services at a local level. /cbb
