DPWH to conduct roadworks over weekend

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will conduct road repairs and reblocking in some areas starting 11 p.m. Friday, October 5, until 5 a.m. on Monday, October 8.

The following areas would be affected by the roadworks according to an advisory from the department on Friday:

Southbound
C-5 Road after Julia Vargas, before Lanuza Avenue Edsa after Eugenio Lopez to before Scout Borromeo Street beside the line of Metro Rail Transit-3

Northbound
Edsa beside Trinoma Mall (6th lane from the center island)
Batasan Road before Congress North Gate and fronting Quezon City Polytechnic University (3rd lane)

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid the said areas, the DPWH said.

Meanwhile, the Manila Water Company Inc. will also conduct pavement restoration at 10 p.m. on Friday, October 5, until 4 a.m. on Monday, October 8; and at 10 p.m. on October 12 until 4 a.m. on October 15. One lane will be closed in the following areas along C-5 Road Southbound:
