Anakpawis Rep. Ariel Casilao said this would be a “welcome development” since they can now engage the controversial Duterte appointee in debates on issues and other legislative matters.

“She is very welcome to participate in the party-list election if she wants too… Malaya po sya (She is free),” Casilao told reporters.

“Kung papalarin sya (If she gets lucky), then we have all the venue to debate on legislative matters… It’s a welcome development. Mas makikita natin iyong kalidad ng kanyang argumento (We can see the strength of her arguments),” he added.

ACT-Teachers Rep. France Castro also welcomed this possibility.

“Well welcome naman iyon eh. Siguro preparation niya na rin ito (Well, she is welcome. Maybe this is part of her preparation),” she said, referring to Uson’s resignation.

Castro earlier pushed for the deferment of the proposed P1.474-billion 2019 budget of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) because of Uson’s absence during Tuesday’s plenary debates.

But she said she was just doing her job to scrutinize the general appropriations bill.

Aside from floating the possibility of running either for senator or congresswoman, Uson has also declared war against some lawmakers whom she branded as “epal” (thick-faced). /ee
