Pagasa: Heavy rain likely over NCR, nearby provinces in next 2 hours

The provinces of Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Laguna, and Quezon will likely experience heavy rains with lightning and strong winds over the next two hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Tuesday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory, the state weather bureau likewise said heavy to intense rain showers with lightning and strong winds can be expected also within the next two hours over Zambales, Rizal, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Bulacan, Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Quezon City, and Pasig.

Dwellers in the said areas were advised by Pagasa to take precautionary measures as heavy rains might cause flashflood and landslides. /kga
