2 drug suspects slain in Laguna
SAN PEDRO CITY – Two suspected drug pushers were killed in a police operation in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna province before dawn on Saturday.
The police identified the slain men as “Loot” and the other as “Obet.” It was not immediately clear if “Loot” was related to Vicente Loot, the mayor of Daanbantayan, Cebu, who President Duterte had accused of being a drug protector.
Calabarzon police spokesperson Supt. Chitadel Gaoiran] said in a report that the police conducted the buy-bust operation at 12:20 a.m. in Sitio Draman, Barangay Malitlit.
The operation, according to the police report, resulted in an “armed encounter” but details were not immediately provided.
The police said Loot and Obet were included in the city police’s drug watchlist. MARICAR CINCO
