1 dead, 9 nabbed in Pampanga anti-drug operations

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Pampanga police killed an alleged drug pusher during a reported gunfight and arrested nine others in separate sting operations in Pampanga province on Tuesday.

In San Simon town, Earl Christian Mantilla reportedly fired on arresting policemen and was shot dead, following a drug bust in Barangay San Juan.

Police reported seizing a cal. 22 gun and a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) from Mantilla, reportedly a resident of Baliuag town in Bulacan.

Simultaneous operations arrested four suspected pushers in the towns of Candaba and Bacolor, one each in Mexico town and Mabalacat City and three in Floridablanca town, all in Pampanga. Three of them were women. TONETTE OREJAS
