PAGADIAN CITY – Some P15 million worth of assets were destroyed when fire broke out at a car accessories and service center past midnight Monday in Buug town, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Bureau of Fire Protection-Buug Deputy Fire Marshall Ariel Celera disclosed the fire transpired at the Auto Stop Car Accessories and Service Center owned by Buug Sangguniang Bayan member Jessie Lagas at Barangay Maganay, Buug town.

Initial investigation disclosed the business establishment contained combustible components used in car servicing.

Aside from the building, Celera said 23 vehicles were also damaged by fire.

Case investigator PO2 Roberto Suya Jr. said the fire reached second alarm and was likely due to an electrical wire short circuit.

Suya said estimates on the cost of damage brought by the fire was initially pegged at about P15 million.
