Manila suspends classes, closes roads for ML anniv

All classes in Manila are suspended today in all levels, both in public and private schools, due to expected mass demonstrations and related activities marking the 46th anniversary of the declaration of martial law during the Marcos regime.

Mayor Joseph Estrada ordered the suspension, as recommended by the police, to ensure public safety and security, City Hall said.

Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority advised motorists to take alternative routes on Friday and Sunday, as the following roads will be closed:
