Bostolits-Ayala thrashes Bostolits-UBCA, 141-139

GRACE Bostolits-Ayala edged Grace Bostolits-UBCA, 141-139, Saturday night in a friendly match that highlighted the ongoing Grace Bostolits Fiesta Cup-2011 basketball tournament at the Upper Bayanihan Catholic Association (UBCA) Sports Complex in Quiot, Pardo.

Bostolits-Ayala led, 30-24 in the opening period behind Jojo Cabajar and Etti Millosa, but Bostolits-UBCA responded with a, 29-21 run to grab a, 53-51 advantage at the half.

Bostolits-UBCA then increased its lead to 19 points, 136-117 entering the final canto but Bostolits-Ayala retaliated with a whopping, 24-3 run at endgame to snatch the two-point victcory.

Jojo Cabajar powered Bostolits-Ayala with 21 points, former UC Webmaster Reymund Yncierto added 17 markers while four other players chipped in double figures: Etti Millosa (16), Angel Mancao (14), James Lou Rama (13) and Joseph Abasolo (12).

Toly Petiluna paced Bostolits-UBCA with a game-high 51 points all from beyond the arc for a tournament-high 17 triples, while the trio of Nicole Llamedo, Jeff Francisco and Barok Lasque combined for 46 points.
