Alleged drug pusher killed in Lucena buy-bust

LUCENA CITY – An alleged drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation here early Thursday, police said,

Lucena police chief Supt. Romulo Albacea said Randolf Coronado, 27, sold shabu to an undercover police officer during a buy-bust  transaction in Barangay (village) Ilayang Iyam around 3:30 a.m.

During the bust, police said Coronado sensed that his buyer was a police officer. He then drew his gun and fired at the undercover police officer but missed.

Albacea said another undercover police officer then shot Coronado who died on the spot.

Police said Coronado was included in the police drug watch list.  /muf
