Village chief killed in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY – The chairman of Barangay Capaoay in San Jacinto town in Pangasinan province was shot dead in a 2 p.m. attack on Tuesday (Sept. 18).

Edward Ronquillo was driving home on his motorcycle when the gunman opened fire, according Senior Insp. Mark Ryan Taminaya, San Jacinto chief of police.

He was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Taminaya said an eyewitness pointed out the gunman in a police rogues’ gallery.
