‘Ompong‘ exits PAR, heads for Southern China – Pagasa

Typhoon “Ompong” (international name: Mangkhut) left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Saturday night and continued to move towards Southern China, according to the the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

As of 9:00 p.m., the typhoon was spotted at 355 km west of Calayan, Cagayan, Pagasa said on its official Twitter page.

But heavy rainfall may still hit Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite and Rizal for the next three hours, Pagasa said. /atm
