Duterte ‘sure’ Yellows, Reds, Magdalo plotting to overthrow him

President Rodrigo Duterte is “sure” that the communists, Magdalo group, and his political opponents, whom he fondly calls “Yellows”, were in cahoots to destabilize his government.

“What I am sure is there is a collaborative effort of the Left, the Magdalo and the Yellow [to oust me],” Duterte said in a press briefing at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City on Thursday.

The President was referring to the Communist Party of the Philippines led by Joma Sison, the Magdalo – a group of rebel soldiers who railed about anomalies in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and the Liberal Party.

Earlier, Mr. Duterte said he has intelligence information supplied by a foreign country that his opponents have come together, scheming to oust him.
