QC cops nab 2 women for stealing 2 dozens of lipsticks

Police arrested two women who were caught stealing beauty products by a security guard in Quezon City on Wednesday.

Authorities identified the suspects as Velyn Medios, 45; and Janna Resurreccion, 22. A police report said the two pretended to be customers looking around a beauty shop inside a mall in Brgy. Greater Lagro but sneakily dropping cosmetic products into their handbags.

Security guard Kenneth Agustin confronted the suspects before leaving the shop. He demanded from them receipts as proof of payment for the items in their possession. But the two women could not show any receipt.

Confiscated from the suspects were two dozens of lipsticks priced at P299.75 each. Police said the women stole over P7,000 worth of products. /kga
