LEGAZPI CITY — The provincial government of Sorsogon has suspended classes in all levels in both private and public schools on Thursday, Sept. 13, as Typhoon “Ompong” (international name: “Mangkhut”) threatens to bring heavy rainfall in the province.
In an advisory, Sorsogon Gov. Robert Rodrigueza said the suspension would ensure the safety of students and the public.
Rodrigueza, chair of the Sorsogon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, also advised the public to take precautionary measures as heavy rainfall might trigger flashfloods and landslides. /atm
