The Department of Transportation (DOTr) Railway sector held a meeting together with railway representatives to discuss preparations for Typhoon Ompong (international name Mangkhut).
The meeting was spearheaded by Metro Rail Transit – Line 3 General Manager Rodolfo Garcia and Operations Director Michael Capati.
It was held at the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) office in Pasay City on Wednesday night.
Representatives from the DOTr, operator of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) line 1 Light Rail Manila Corporation, and LRT-2’s operator LRTA were also present during the meeting.
All three railway operators presented their respective “disaster risk management strategies and precautionary measures to ensure the readiness of all transits.” /je
