Dump truck hits motorcycle; rider dies in Pasig City

A motorcycle driver was killed after being sideswiped and ran over by a dump truck along a flyover on C-5 Road in Pasig City, police said Tuesday.

In a report, police said Crisologo Arela Jr. was driving a black motorcycle on Monday night when he was accidentally sideswiped by the rear tire of a dump truck.

The same report showed that truck driver Ramilo de Belen, 32, claimed Arela was then accidentally hit in the head as he fell down to the ground.

Police said De Belen will be facing a case for homicide.  /kga
