After the validity of his amnesty was questioned, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV now wants the review of the bar exam results of President Rodrigo Duterte, saying the chief executive has not been acting like a lawyer.
“Siguro kailangang reviewhin kung talaga bang nakapasa ng bar itong si Duterte,” Trillanes said in a press briefing outside his office at the Senate on Saturday.
[Maybe we should review if Duterte really passed the bar.]
“This guy is amazingly stupid. Sorry for the word, pero talagang lumalabas [but it really shows]. We cannot hide it,” he added.
Trillanes took a swipe at the term of the President’s father as a governor, whom he said could have meddled with his exam results.
He also expressed disappointment with the San Beda College of Law, where Duterte studied the legal profession.
“Pasensya na sa [I apologize to the] San Beda College of Law, but I am not impressed with your product, which is Mr. Duterte,” Trillanes said, noting that the President did not act like a lawyer.
“Ako talaga someday mahahanap natin ‘yung resulta ng exam niyan. Baka talagang nilakad lang ’yan. I am serious about it,” he added.
[Someday, I’ll really look for the results of his exam. Maybe it was really fixed by someone. I am serious about it.]
Trillanes even lambasted the thinking capacity of the President, which he said was “weak.”
“Hindi lang masamang tao siya, mahina pa ‘yung kokote niya. Sabi ko nga, dagdag mo pa ‘yung korap siya, mamamatay-tao siya. Siguro pinagsama-sama na ‘yung kasamaan eh,” he said.
[He’s not just a bad person, his thinking is also weak. Like I said, he is corrupt and a murderer. Maybe all the evil is collected in him.]
Aside from Duterte, Trillanes also said he would want a review of the bar exam of presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, who earlier called him a “very good friend.” /muf /atm
