Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go said he hopes God would forgive the priest who joked during his homily that he prayed for President Rodrigo Duterte to be sick.

“Patawarin sana ang pari ng Panginoon (May God forgive the priest),” Go said in a message sent to reporters.

Father Noel Gatchalian cracked the joke during the Mass held outside Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s office in the Senate.
