Duterte appoints former DOTr Undersecretary Cesar Chavez to BCDA
President Rodrigo Duterte appointed former Transportation Undersecretary Cesar Chavez to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) Board of Directors.
Duterte signed Chavez’ appointment on August 31 and was sent to Palace reporters on Thursday.
Chavez resigned as Department of Transportation (DOTr) Undersecretary last November 2017 following the series of technical glitches that hit the Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3).
“I’m tendering my irrevocable resignation. Hindi pwedeng lagi tayong naninisi sa nakaraan dahil sa responsibilidad na natin ito,” Chavez said in a press briefing.
