Trillanes now under custody of Senate President Sotto
Amid his impending arrest, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has been placed under the custody of Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
“ I was placed in the custody of the Senate President,” Trillanes told reporters on Tuesday.
Trillanes decried the “warrantless arrest” against him, calling the move a “de facto martial law.”
“This is a warrantless arrest maliwanag yan,” he said.
“We’re living basically in a de facto martial law environtment of the 70s kind,” he added.
Trillanes believes President Rodrigo Duterte and Solicitor General Jose Calida were behind the move to arrest him.

“You’re definitely behind this. Kayo ng abogado mong si Mr. Calida.”
“Someday, there will be a reckoning for you at talagang mangyayari at mangayyari yan,” Trillanes added. /muf
