Senator Nancy Binay on Monday urged the local authorities of Sultan Kudarat and Masbate City to probe the recent attacks in the said provinces.

Binay said that it is important to “look deeply” into the bombing incidents given that the island of Mindanao is under martial law.

She also condemned the bombing incidents in Sultan Kudarat that have killed a total of five individuals.

“I urge the authorities to look deeply at the reason why the bombings happened, especially considering the whole island of Mindanao is presently under martial law, and to bring the perpetrators to justice,” Binay said in a statement.

“I am one with the Filipino people in condemning the bombing incidents in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat and in Masbate City,” she added.

Binay then extended condolences to the bereaved family members of the attack and called on the public to be vigilant at all times.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde relieved on Monday the police chiefs of Sultan Kudarat and Masbate City following the attacks. /je
