MMDA reports flooding in Metro Manila

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) monitored on Monday early morning flooded areas due to continuous rain brought by the southwest monsoon.

In a flood alert advisory, the MMDA said the following areas had gutter-deep flood but remained passable to all types of vehicles as of 4:50 a.m.

The traffic agency also monitored knee-deep flood in some areas. The MMDA said that the following areas were not passable to light vehicles:

> R. Papa, both north and south bounds

> Outermost lane of EDSA Balintawak, southbound section

Certain local government units suspended classes in and around Metro Manila due to bad weather. /cbb
