2 foreigners fall in P6.8-M shabu sting in Manila

Two foreigners were arrested following a sting operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) that netted around P6.8-million worth of shabu in Malate, Manila on Thursday.

In an initial report from PDEA on Friday, the suspects James Fung and George Chang Ping were arrested in a buy-bust operation near the Rizal Memorial Coliseum. The nationality of the suspects are still under confirmation as of this posting.

Authorities said a kilogram of shabu were confiscated from the suspects.

The two were taken to the National Headquarters of the PDEA in Quezon City for investigation and disposition, while the confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to its laboratory for chemical analysis. /jpv
