Imee Marcos running for Senate in 2019 – Villar

Senator Cynthia Villar confirmed on Wednesday that Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos would be running for senator next year.

Villar said Marcos would be among the Nacionalista Party (NP) members vying for the Senate seat in 2019.

“She is a go,” the senator sain in an interview with ABS CBN News Channel.

Villar pointed out, “Only three of us are running for the Senate from the Nacionalista Party: Pia Cayetano, myself, and Imee Marcos,” she said.

Villar noted that Marcos was in her last term as governor. /cbb
