Six arrested for illegal gambling, possession of suspected shabu

Six people were arrested on Tuesday for illegal gambling and possession of suspected shabu (crystal meth) in Caloocan City, police said.

In a report, police said they received information from a tipster that the suspects were playing a cara y cruz (head or tails) game along Salay Salay Street in Barangay 12.

Suspects Romulo Pedrosa, Rogelio Dela Cruz, Ace Villamor, Roberto Arizapa, Maricris Baytos, and Aljon Subito allegedly tried to evade arrest but were collared by authorities.

Police said the suspects were caught in the act of playing the illegal game.

Also recovered from them were four sachets of suspected shabu, P120 cash and a P1 coin used in the game, the report said

The suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Caloocan City Police for disposition.
