LOOK: Workers mark heroes’ day with protest

A number of protesters gathered at Welcome Rotonda in Quezon City on Monday to call for a minimum wage increase and an end to contractualization.

As the country celebrated National Heroes Day, labor groups prepared to march from the Welcome Rotonda in Quezon City to Mendiola in Manila to call the government’s attention on their issues.

The labor groups also called the public to boycott condiment giant NutriAsia following the issue on its contractualitization of workers.

The protesters are also set to hammer President Rodrigo Duterte’s effigy during its program in Mendiola, Manila. /cbb
