Cops nab 2 sisters in Lucena buy-bust
LUCENA CITY – Two sisters suspected of drug peddling were nabbed in a buy-bust operation here Saturday night, police said.
Supt. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Marivic Rico, 46, and her younger sister Priscila, 39, after the two sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover policeman acting as a drug user in a transaction in Barangay (village) Dalahican around 9:45 p.m.
The suspects yielded 11 plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board value of P1,750. The illegal activities of the suspects were tipped off to the authorities by concerned citizens and drug surrenderers.
Police tagged the pair as two of the few remaining drugs pushers in the coastal village. /je
