Scores hurt in Antipolo multiple collision

A multiple collision involving eight vehicles along the Sumulong Highway in Antipolo, Rizal on Wednesday afternoon left several persons injured.

According to an advisory from the Antipolo City government, the collision happened at about 1:30 p.m. and blocked traffic along Cloud 9 and Padi’s Point along the highway in Barangay Sta. Cruz.

Involved in the road mishap were a dump truck, a van, and six private vehicles.

The advisory said barangay rescue personnel rushed the injured to the nearest hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

The Antipolo City government has advised motorists to avoid the accident area and look for alternative routes.

Motorists heading to Antipolo City are advised to turn left via Blue Mountain; while those going down to Masinag are advised to turn right via Olalia road.  /muf
