Two foreign nationals were arrested after security personnel of a bar in Barangay Poblacion, Makati City caught them carrying illegal drugs.

According to a report from Makati City Police, the arrested foreigners were Syrian national Abdullah Alhelo, 26, a student, currently living in Vito Cruz, Manila, and American Mohamed Seaud, 36, of Parañaque City.

Bouncer Jelbert Nabarte discovered that they were carrying illegal drugs when he frisked them on Wednesday morning before entering a bar along Don Pedro Street.

After frisking the foreigners, Nabarte recovered one sachet with dried marijuana leaves tucked in the underwear of Alhelo.

However, the bouncer also said Seaud allegedly tried to give him P500 as a bribe but he refused it.

The two foreigners were brought to Barangay Poblacion’s office and then referred to the Barangay Palanan clinic for medical inquest.

The suspects are now under the custody of Makati police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) for investigation.   /vvp
