Mindanao grid intact after 5.0 magnitude quake

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said on Sunday that power transmission services remain normal despite the 5.0 magnitude earthquake that jolted Compostela Valley on Sunday.

In an advisory posted on its Facebook Page, NGCP said that “the Mindanao grid remains intact as there have been no reported cases of power interruptions and damaged transmission facilities in Compostela Valley province and nearby areas where the earthquake was felt.”

On Sunday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that a tremor hit 13 kilometers northeast of Compostela, Compostela Valley.
