Woman nabbed in Lanao del Norte buy-bust
ILIGAN CITY – A woman, who had to raise two children alone because her husband was in jail, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in a lodging house in Poblacion, Baroy town in Lanao del Norte.
Members of the Baroy municipal police and Lanao del Norte’s provincial intelligence branch arrested Liezl Comilao, 33, inside the lodging house in front of her two daughters, aged three and five, and two sisters-in-law, aged 15 and 16.
Senior Inspector Moamar Solog, Baroy police chief, said Comilao’s husband was arrested in an anti-drug operation last year and was now detained at Lanao del Norte’s provincial jail.
Solog said Comilao’s wife was considered a high-value, “level 1,” target in the province.
“She is a pusher. Her distribution of illegal drugs is throughout the province,” the police chief said.
Comilao admitted in an interview that she sold illegal drugs for a living to raise her children. She bought a big pack of drugs for P20,000, repacked and sold it for profit.
