Tire burst caused an aircraft of the Philippine Airlines (PAL) to drift shortly after it landed at the tarmac of the Dumaguete Airport on Tuesday morning.

In an advisory, PAL said that its 156-seat Airbus A320 is still at the runway as of this posting since it suffered the technical issue around  6:42 a.m.

PAL, however, said that passengers of flight PR2541 safely disembarked the aircraft after the incident.

Eric Apolonio of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) confirmed the incident and said that a portion of Dumaguete Airport has been closed for safety measures.  /kga
